Families Helping Families
FAMILIES HELPING FAMILIES (FHF)
Since Families Helping Families was founded in 2001, it has been reaching out to literally thousands of people in need all over NW Oklahoma. Every Monday night, we give away food to those who are in need. During this time, families receive a week's supply of groceries.
Items such as canned goods, boxed cereals, and other important staples help feed their families. We know that Jesus made it very clear in His Word that we as the body of Christ are to reach out to the needy. We take this command very seriously at LWF.
This ministry is led by a team of faithful volunteers, FHF is truly making a difference in our community. We service over 500 families annually and over 14,000 people. This makes us one of the “largest” food pantries in NW Oklahoma.
Proverbs 19:17 says, "He who is gracious to a poor man lends to the LORD, and He will repay him for his good deed." NASU
Each night in NW Oklahoma, a child doesn't have to go to bed hungry, a mother has milk to give to her baby, and a dad can sit down to eat supper with his family, all because of the ministry of "Families Helping Families."
(New applicants need to bring a current household utility bill in the name of the person picking up the food)
Food Distribution is each Monday at 7:30 -8:30 PM at the West Entrance of LWF, unless otherwise posted.
Riverside Indian School - Christmas Distribution
RIVERSIDE INDIAN SCHOOL
Annually on the 1st Sunday in December we unite with hundreds of people from many churches to help supply and distribute over 700 gifts to young men and women who may never have received a Christmas gift before. The Riverside Indian School is located in Anadarko, Oklahoma.
Since 1999 we have worked closely with Mission Native America and other churches around the state to make the Christmas Season something they will always remember.
Our church has adopted the Apache Dorm and helps supply some of their needs that they may have during their school year.
